Atticus Research was founded in December 2025 to provide unique views into banks and other financial institutions. These views primarily focus on 3 areas: 1) analysis on company-specific credit performance, 2) analysis on industry-wide credit performance and 3) related impacts to bank common and preferred stocks.

Atticus Research also works with financial institutions of all sizes to improve their internal credit risk reporting, modeling, and management.

Atticus Research was founded by Steve Blasdell, a financial services executive who has been working across various areas of finance since 2001, including consulting, sales / trading, and risk management.
